SummerPlace #501 is a PERFECT END UNIT WITH EXTRA WINDOWS(avoid the closed in feeling of the interior units) in a mid rise complex for those that want to get away from the congestion of large complexes, yet it is directly on the beach & within walking distance on the Boardwalk, Restaurants, activities and excitement. THERE ARE PLENTY OF REPEAT CUSTOMERS THAT WOULD NOT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!

Summer Place #501 is a PLATINUM RATED property on the 5th floor offering one of the largest balconies on the island. Enjoy the 9 foot ceilings throughout and all tile floors (no grubby wet carpet after a day at the beach or pool) There are TWO POOLS (one heated year-round),a huge deck area with plenty of lounge chairs, BBQ Area (including 2 having natural gas), HOT TUB and PRIVATE FITNESS CENTER facing the Gulf.
UPSCALE FURNISHINGS and Large Flat Screen Smart TV's in our condominium make the stay even more pleasurable. Kitchen IS COMPLETELY STOCKED and offers beautiful granite counters and large breakfast bar and new stainless appliances.

The EMERALD COAST CONFERENCE CENTER is only a stroll away. Summer Place is also close to Eglin Air Force Base. There are several fantastic restaurants within walking distance.

  Everything was fine. Selfishly I wish there were more options than the Saturday to Saturday option that seems to dominate. This makes traffic a nightmare.

  This was our third stay at Summer Place but first in #501, and this stay was really nice.
  
  The Good: The room was nice and clean and the view never disappoints. The beds were comfortable and provided a great place to rest up from the full day at the beach.
  
  Room for Improvement: Because the room is an end unit, the porch is larger than that of a standard room, which went a little under used because it only had standard chairs, no lounge chairs, which is a missed opportunity. I also wish that the chairs and the table on the porch were high top. They sat a bit low causing the view to be obstructed by the railing.
  
  This is also the first time I’ve stayed in a room anywhere in years that didn’t have a Keurig. They did have a standard coffee maker, so not a big deal, but definitely caught us off guard.
  
  The Bad: I understand that we are renting the unit for the week, and that there is a management company overseeing the units, but it isn’t a hotel with housekeeping. I would never expect to have someone from the management company letting themselves into our room unannounced unless it was an absolute emergency, but that is exactly what happened. The people staying in the room above us had a towel blow off their porch and apparently landed on our porch. They contacted the management company, and they came up to the room, knocked, and let themselves in to retrieve the towel. Unfortunately, my 23-year old daughter was napping in the room, didn’t hear the knocking, but did hear someone entering the room. Needless to say, she was alarmed, and.I don’t blame her. This wasn’t an emergency by any means. They should have either texted or emailed us, or left a note on the door asking for us to contact the management company . If my daughter hadn’t been there, would they have left a note to say they were in the room? How many other times do they let themselves into the room when nobody kno

  We had a really pleasant experience at Summer Place. This was our first time to stay here. It was not overly crowded, so that was a major plus. The owner of this particular unit needs to spend some money and update the bedrooms with new mattresses and better pillows. We paid a premium price for late May and the amenities did not reflect the cost. We enjoyed the fact that we could walk to restaurants from our room. The grocery store was also very close. The stagnant construction of the bridge is a detriment to this community and to the area as a whole. The State should regulate their projects more efficiently. I did not observe any actual work activities on the bridge while we were there. It would behoove the county and state to oversee and expedite their projects in a more efficient manner so that the tourists and locals can get to their destinations without wasting 1 to 2 hours sitting on Highway 98. Overall, the experience was positive. I am personally in the construction business, so I know inefficiency and lack of oversight when I see it. We will definitely stay at Summer Place again in the future.

  Overall everything was good. I loved the view and being able to hear the ocean while laying in bed. This condo gives you 4 chairs for beach service which was amazing. The location is in a good spot with all the things you may need within a 15 minute drive. The other bedrooms are at the front of the condo by the door which for me was a bit uncomfortable because our kids are little. The host messaged back immediately with any issues and communicated very well. One pool was supposed to be heated however, neither pool was heated. This was a bummer for me, but the kids used it. I would definitely recommend the property to anyone who is looking for a beach vacation. It was very relaxing and enjoyable for our family.
